Today we had a 16 visiting teachers come and see how we do Science in our class. They had fun with us as we made super duper loopers
The next day we investigated further into how these fly and what could we modify to make them fly better (or not so well!)We tried 2 loops the same size but this just flew up and straight down. We tried with the big loop in the front, but it sank straight away. We tried with the 2 different sized loops close together, but think that there needed to be a longer gap for the air to blow through and help it lift.
We also tried 2 straws stuck together and 3 loops varying in size along the length. This flew well but not as long as our original design - too heavy maybe?
