We have been looking at the different types of seed dispersal. - wind, drop and roll, exploding, hitch-hikers, water, and animal (One that always fascinates!!)
Here is a link to a neat website that demonstrates the different types of seed dispersal - Click on the image
I really enjoyed Mia telling me about her learning about seed dispersal last week.
ReplyDeleteShe reminded me of a time that our dog came home covered in biddy-bids and she asked me about them. I explained to her that they were hitchhiking to find a new place to grow.
She had a great time recalling this conversation, and adding to it with her new knowledge.
That's fantastic! :)
DeleteRuby has loved this and has been busy collecting seeds from around the garden for her own investigations.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
